Roger William Mutcher

Roger William Mutcher, 60, of Grand Forks, ND, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2026.

Roger was born on October 25, 1965, in Grand Forks, ND, to Larry and Pauladon (Nesdahl) Mutcher and was one of three children, along with his sisters Lynn and Toni. Roger grew up in Grand Forks, where he attended Grand Forks Central High School and graduated in 1985. After high school, Roger attended Job Corps in Montana for welding training.

Roger held many different jobs throughout his life. Some of which included: Miller's Café (dishwasher), Big Sioux Café (dishwasher), Menards (security guard), American Crystal Sugar (boilerman), Larry's Lawn Service (with his dad), and Grand Forks Taxi (cab driver).

When not working, Roger could be found outside, spending time with his wife, Laura, and their dogs, whom Roger called his "fur kids".

Roger is survived by his loving wife, Laura (Vondal) Mutcher; his father, Larry Mutcher; and his sisters, Lynn (Keith) Mega of Minot, ND, and Toni Kaminski of Larimore, ND. Nieces and nephews, Kathryn (Sean) LeCavalier, Elizabeth Mega, Michelle (Matt) Behm, Becca Kaminski, David (Kim) Kaminski, and Theodore (Michelle) Kaminski. He is also survived by great nieces and nephews, Kaylin, Skylar, Tinley, Brooks, Brynn, Tanson, Nolan, Alexandria, Hunter, and Westly.

Roger was preceded in passing by his mother, Pauladon (Nesdahl) Mutcher; brother-in-law, Robert Kaminski; nephew, Robert "Robbie" Kaminski; grandparents, William and Elenore (Schue) Nesdahl and Rudolph and Bertha (Anderson) Mutcher; uncles, Burt Nesdahl, John, Gerry, Merle, and Robert Mutcher, and Ronald Mutscher; and aunt, Shirley Swatsky.

The family will be having a private time for visitation, with a memorial for Roger on a later date.
