Ron L. Haney

Ron Haney entered the gates of Heaven on Sunday, November 30, 2025.

Ron was born January 24, 1945 in Grand Forks, N.D to Vernon and Ella (Severson) Haney.

Ron was a gifted high school athlete for Grand Forks Central in football and track. He was a talented and loyal sheet metal worker for C.L Linfoot for 42 years. Ron could build anything, and he did so with the utmost precision and skill. There was nothing he couldn’t tackle or fix. Outside work, Ron enjoyed time spent outdoors, golfing, hunting and camping. However, his favorite past time was when he was around his family. Ron had a stroke in December 2011. He was cared for by his loving wife Judy for years at their home before entering Valley 4000.

Ron leaves behind his wife of 44 years Judy L. Haney. His son Jared (Jeralyn) Haney, Seattle Washington. Stepson David (Colette) Jenson, Valley City, N.D. Grandchildren Nick (Jaiden) Jenson, Jack (Nicole) Jenson, Sam (Amanda) Jenson, Matgj Medina, Jeric and Pearl Haney and Great Grand Daughter Margot Jenson. Brothers Vernie (Dorothy) Haney, Roger (Judy Ann) Haney, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Vernon and Ella, brothers Howard, Roy, Bobby and Marvin Haney.

The family would like to thank entire staff at Valley 4000 for all the years of care given to Ron.

Memorial services will be 10:30 AM Saturday, December 6, 2025 at Amundson Funeral and Cremation Service, Grand Forks. Visitation will be for the hour before the service in the funeral home. Burial will be in Memorial Park South Cemetery, Grand Forks at a later date.
