Ronald (Ron) Amundson 81 of Grand Forks passed away on Saturday June 11, 2022.

He worked as a truck driver both over the road and locally. He was proud that he had made it to almost all 50 states. He had a great memory and when asked he could give directions to get just about anywhere. He was the GPS before GPS became a thing.

He loved visiting with people and he would always remember them even if he hadn’t seen them in 40 years. He had a great love for music, especially the golden oldies and country and a love for old cars from the 50s.

His most favorite thing was spending time with his family and his lady friend Bonnie. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his daughter Angie (Rob) Amundson-Kadlec, grandsons Tyler and Chace, sisters Judy (Ron) Haney, Janice (Bill) Ferguson, Darlene (Rick) Noyes, Bonnie (Donnie) Vonasek, brother Tom (Marie) Amundson and numerous nieces and nephews, his special lady friend Bonnie Brandner.

He was preceded in death by his wife Sandy (Clemetson), sister Carol (Judd) McKinnon, sister Linda Amundson, brother Gary Amundson,  father Art Amundson, stepmother Alva Amundson, mother Adele Neil.

Funeral Services will be 10:30 am. Friday, June 17, 2022 in Amundson Funeral Home, Grand Forks.  Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service in the church.  Interment will be in Middle Grove Cemetery, Rural Manvel, North Dakota.
