"On June 25, 2025 following a brave struggle with multiple health conditions spanning decades, Ronald Francis Denis Fischer, returned to paradise in the loving embrace of Jesus' glory.
Ron was born in Bismarck, ND on September 10th, 1955 to Francis and Rose Fischer. He came from humble roots, raised by an extended family - forming loving bonds with aunts and uncles that lasted a lifetime. While attending Mary College, he set his sights on a lovely and intelligent young lady, Maria Lucy, and they married shortly thereafter. Following graduation from law school at UND, he started his professional career and family in Washington DC, working for the Department of Justice. He developed an excellent reputation as a trial lawyer and partner at the Pearson, Christensen, and Fischer Law Firm in Grand Forks, ND. Throughout his professional life, he received many accolades and recognitions, including being inducted into the American College of Trial Lawyers - an honor bestowed on the top 1% of trial lawyers in the United States and Canada!!! He balanced a successful career and family life, always willing to play with his children and grandchildren, rarely missing an important event, and passing along his Christian faith through kindness, patience, and Christ's love in action. He had a passion for nature, photography, and the law. An excellent photographer, he enjoyed photographing family events, rustic farm buildings, and chronicling the development of a family of eagles in East Grand Forks, MN. He loved God with all his heart and spread the Lord's light to everyone he knew. His grandchildren were the joy in his life during the final years. Ron is survived by his devoted wife; his children, Matt [Abbie], Jake [Kacy] and Josh; eight grandchildren, Lucas, Eli, Asher, Jacob, Mattie, Victoria, Finn, and Adeline; his sister, Sheila [Mark] Reierson; and his step-mother, Tillie [Francis] Fischer. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Maria's parents, Dan and Agnes Lucy, stepbrother Adam Geiger III, and many beloved extended family members."
