Ronald “Ronnie” Timothy Olson, 64 of Manvel, North Dakota passed away unexpectantly on November 4, 2025, in rural Grafton, North Dakota.

Ronnie was born the son of Ron and Helen (Bergh) Olson on July 29, 1961, in Grand Forks, North Dakota. The Olson family moved to Manvel in 1969, when Ronnie was 8 years old. He graduated from Oslo High School in 1979.

After high school, he worked in the parts department at Rydell Chevrolet for a short time. Ronnie spent most of his life self-employed with his siding business, Ronnie Olson Siding, which he operated for 35 years. At 64, he could still climb up and down the ladders like a 30-year-old. He was a hard worker and took pride in his workmanship and craft.

Ronnie was an avid sports fan, following all teams but his loyalty was to the Vikings and the Twins. He impressed many with his knowledge of teams and players. Ronnie spent time watching games with his dog, Molly (16 years) and his cat, Rocky (18 years) along with friends.

Ronnie also enjoyed hunting and fishing. Every spring he would be plotting his garden and flowers. Ronnie was always generous with his harvest, enjoyed canning and pickling which all his friends and family were able to enjoy. He was often referred to as “Farmer Ron”.

Ronnie will be greatly missed for his smile and wonderful sense of humor and kind generosity.

Ronnie is survived by his son, Josh Yale; granddaughter, Kiersten and grandson, Lincoln all of Keller, TX; sisters, Renae Bergee of Tucson, AZ and Becky (Larry) Stadstad of Manvel, ND; brother, Scott Olson of Grand Forks, ND; numerous nieces and nephews.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Randy Olson.

Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at Amundson Funeral Home.
