Ruth A. Jenson, 80 of Grand Forks, North Dakota died Sunday, October 12, 2025, at her home under the care of hospice surrounded by her loving family.
Ruth was born on April 14, 1945, the daughter of William and Ida (Pokrzywinski) Lunski in Grand Forks, North Dakota. She was raised and educated in Grand Forks, graduating from Grand Forks Central High School. Ruth was united in marriage to Terry Jenson Sr. on December 22, 1965, in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Together they owned several restaurants such as: Gordy’s Café, Dakota Hotel and Café, Highway Host, Ponderosa, and Gramma Butterwick’s.
Ruth enjoyed her horses, flowers, gardening and travel to Arizona in the winters. She enjoyed time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Ruth is survived by her son, Terry (Michelle) Jenson Jr.; daughter, Lisa (Jon) Krigbaum; grandchildren, Emilly (Tyler) Jenson, Zachery (Erin) Dusterhoft, Jeremy (Danielle) Dusterhoft, Lyndsey (Cade) Dusterhoft; great grandson, Jerome James “J.J.” Dusterhoft; numerous nieces and nephews.
Ruth was preceded u=in death by her parents, husband, Terry Sr. (2019), siblings, Joe, Donny and Billy Lunski and Eva Bergstrom.
Visitation will be held from Noon - 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 16, 2025, at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Grand Forks, North Dakota. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 16, 2025, at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Grand Forks, North Dakota.
