Sara A. Beck, 49, Williston, ND, passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2025 in Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, ND.

Sara Anne Owens was born January 26, 1976 in Crosby, ND, the daughter of Kenneth and Marcia (Wendschlag) Owens. She was raised in Williston, ND and graduated from Williston High School in 1994. Sara moved to Grand Forks and graduated from UND with a degree in Music Therapy. She established a private music therapy music practice in Moorhead, MN, contracting with schools and private families. Sara also taught piano lessons to children with disabilities. She moved to Colorado and taught special education in public schools, all the while completing her master’s degree remotely from UND. In 2012, Sara moved to Williston, ND. She worked in the WilMac Education system, mentoring special education teachers in several schools.

Sara enjoyed collecting, tumbling and polishing rocks. She loved being in the outdoors with her family, camping, and enjoying nature. She also enjoyed exploring various cities and taking in museums.

Sara married Jamie Beck on June 20, 1998 in Williston, ND. She is survived by her husband, Jamie, along with their sons, Ethan Beck and Aaron Beck, both of Williston; father, Kenneth (Laurie) Owens, Williston; and her sister, Christa (Thomas) Lippert, Fargo, ND and nephews Tyson Lippert and Braedan Lippert, Fargo, ND.

Sara was preceded in death by her mother, Marcia Owens, maternal grandparents, paternal grandparents, mother in-law, and father in-law.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 2, 2025 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm followed by a funeral service at 2:00 pm at Amundson Funeral and Cremation Service, Grand Forks. Burial will be in Memorial Park North Cemetery, Grand Forks.

A memorial service will take place 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Williston, ND.
