Scott Gregory Cleveland

Scott Gregory Cleveland, 62, of Grand Forks, ND, passed away peacefully, with his loving family at his side, Sunday, May 10, 2026, at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.

Scott was born on November 7, 1963, in Western Massachusetts to Kenneth Jr. and Cheryl (Hershey) Cleveland and was one of 8 children. Scott spent all his early years in Massachusetts, graduating from high school in Brookfield. Following high school Scott enlisted in the United States Air Force where he would serve until his retirement from service in 2011. Scott had a very well decorated service time earning many awards and medals. Upon his retirement he earned the rank of Technical Sergeant (TSgt). It was during his service time that he would meet his wife, Virginia, in Gwinn, MI, when he was stationed at the K. I. Sawyer Air Force Base. They were married in 1994 in Marquette, MI. The following year in 1995, the couple moved to Grand Forks, ND where Scott was stationed at the Grand Forks Air Force Base. Here, the couple would make Grand Forks their permanent home. Following his retirement from the Air Force, Scott worked for several places, including Steffes Corp., MV Transportation, Transystems, and Simplot.

During his spare time, Scott enjoyed spending time outdoors, whether it be fishing and hunting, or on the open road in his truck or driving his motorcycle. He was a handy man and could often be found in the garage working on his cars or adding to his collection of firearms. Though he had many hobbies and passions, it was the time spent with his family and grandkids that were the most cherished moments for him.

Scott was preceded in passing by his parents, Kenneth Jr. and Cheryl, and his sister, Jamie.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia; his 4 children, Jefffrey (Ariel), Aubrey, Gregory, and Bethaney. He is also survived by his grandkids, Zander and Chad; along with his siblings, Kenneth III, Mark, Kerry, Christopher, Kevin, and Mike. Scott is also survived by 20 nieces and nephews, along with many other family members and friends.

The family of Scott will be holding private remembrances to celebrate his life.
