Scott A. Schiller, 60, formerly of Grand Forks, North Dakota, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on November 7, 2025, in Las Vegas, NV.

Scott was born on April 25, 1965, in Grand Forks, ND. He grew up and attended school in Grand Forks, graduating from Red River in 1983. Scott is best known for being a talented high jumper. He has held the Red River school record in the high jump for over 40 years. At the time he was the 1983 state champion for setting a new state record of 7 feet.

He is survived by his mother, Carol Schiller (Vern), his father Don (Marion) Schiller, his son Taylor (Shannon) Schiller of Minot, ND; his brother Steve Schiller of Duluth, MN; his sister Kari Allard (Dale), his daughter Carson, 2 grandsons, 2 nieces and a nephew.

He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.

Any memorials in Scott’s memory will be given to the local food pantry.

Memorial service will be held Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Amundson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the start of the service.
