Scott Allen Sundby

Scott A. Sundby, 62, passed away at his home in Grand Forks, ND, on Tuesday, September 6, 2022.

Scott was born July 22, 1960, in Warren, MN, the son of Patricia Ann (Lazarczyk) and Jack Otto Sundby. He attended schools in Grand Forks, graduating from Central High School.

He married Karen Rogenes and together they had 2 children, John and Tom Sundby. He later married Michelle (Devine) Lindquist and together they had 2 children, Amanda and Jake Sundby. Scott happily and lovingly opened his arms to Michelle’s children, Cassandra (Solem) Dachtler and Nick Solem; always and forever considering himself having 6 children.

Scott worked for Ecolab for 25 years and Hugo’s Grocery for the last few years of his life. He made lifelong friends at every workplace as he had the biggest, friendliest heart.

He enjoyed fishing, boating, the “lake life”, watching football, hockey, Nascar and other sports. His favorite way to spend his time was with his family.

Scott is survived by his children, John Sundby, Tom Sundby, Cassandra (Logan) Dachtler, Nick Solem, Amanda Sundby and Jake Sundby; siblings, Deb (Cecil) Naatz, Kathy (Richard) Horn, Janis Pfaff, Linda (Greg) Lind, Doug Sundby, Ann Sundby, Kelly Sundby VanSickle and Beth Sundby Nelson; grandchildren, Jaryn & Leo Sundby; step-mother, Sandy Sundby; aunt “Godmother” Fredryce Sundby and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and nephew, James.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.

Celebration of Life Service: 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at Amundson Funeral Home with visitation from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. 

Inurnment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Grand Forks.
