Suellyn "Sue" Jean Hoffart

Suellyn “Sue” Hoffart, 73 of Grand Forks, North Dakota died Sunday, June 28, 2026, at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, North Dakota.

Sue was born on August 11, 1952, the daughter of Jerome and Betty (Fraser) Seymour in New Rockford, North Dakota. She was raised and educated in New Rockford, graduating from high school in 1970. Sue attended Minot State University receiving a master’s degree in teaching.

Sue was united in marriage to David Hoffart on May 24, 1975, in New Rockford. They lived in Rugby, where Sue taught Special Ed until moving to Fargo in 1990. She taught at West Fargo High School until her retirement.

Sue was a free spirit and loved listening to Fleetwood Mac. She enjoyed snorkeling, especially on her trips to Mexico. Sue cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Sue is survived by her children, Chris (Melissa) Hoffart of Grand Forks, ND, Chelsey (Jonathan) LaBonte of Grand Forks, ND and Andrew (Krista) Hoffart of Bellevue, NE; three grandchildren, Alexis LaBonte, Hunter and Heidi Hoffart; siblings, Steve (Debra) Seymour of Navasota, TX, Sally Spear of Anaconda, MT and Corey (Biba) Seymour of Brooklyn, NY; numerous nieces and nephews.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents and former husband, David Hoffart.

A private family service will be held.
