Terry James Konze

Feb 13, 1951 — Jul 27, 2026

Grand Forks, North Dakota

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Terry Konze, who entered the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 27, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Terry was born on February 13, 1951, to Edward and Marie Konze. He grew up in Langdon, ND and moved to Fargo, ND at 18 where he later started a construction company. He then relocated to Orlando, Florida where he began his own business in home remodeling.

On January 1, 2000, he went on his first date with his future wife, Doree Halverson. They were wed June 9, 2001.

He shared a loving marriage with his wife, Doree, and together they built a life centered on faith, family, and caring for others. Terry was a proud father and grandfather who found great joy in spending time with his children and grandchildren. Whether sharing stories, offering a helping hand, or simply enjoying time together, he treasured every moment with those he loved. Terry also found great joy in his love for Legos, woodworking with his brother-in-law, and volunteering his time at Toys for Tots.

Terry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose quiet strength, kindness, and unwavering faith touched everyone who knew him. He lived a life marked by love for his family, integrity, and a generous spirit.

Terry is survived by his beloved wife, Doree; his children Thomas (Rachel) Konze, Mandy Konze, and Michael (Joelle) Konze; his stepdaughters Miranda (Kameron) Slominski, Emily Wigen, Christina (Stephen) Baughn, Suzanne (Brad) Hegvick; sisters Anna Washebek, Mary Thomssen, Katherine (Clifford) Smith, Cheryl Klaproth; 20 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild; as well as extended family and many dear friends whose lives were blessed by knowing him. He was preceded in death by brothers Duwayne, Tommy and Leslie; sisters Marlene, Dorine, Donna and Elaine.

A celebration of Terry's life will be held Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. at Amundson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the start of the service.

Though Terry is no longer with us, his legacy of faith, love, courage, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His life was a blessing, his memory a treasure, and he will be deeply missed until we meet again.
