Theodore "Ted" H. Olufson

Theodore “Ted” H. Olufson, 80, passed away on September 19, 2024, in Grand Forks. Theodore Henry Olufson was born on April 5, 1944, in Grand Forks, ND, the son of Henry and Emeline (Kroll) Olufson. Ted grew up in Grand Forks and graduated from Grand Forks Central in 1962. Ted married Gayle Groff in 1968. Ted farmed with his father, Henry and brother Larry. When Henry retired, Ted and Larry took over the family farm. Ted additionally served on the board for Brenna Township, the fire board for Thompson, and worked at Surplus Center in Grand Forks.

Ted is survived by his wife, Gayle Olufson, Grand Forks, and daughter, Cindy Thomas, Nashville, TN; 7 nieces and nephews, Kathy (Perry) Smestad, Debbie Dubuque, Michelle Shumate, Amy (Dale) Twedell, Matt (Karin) Tollefson, Ryan (Mandy) Tollefson, and Nicole (Todd) Fuhrman; and 12 great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Larry Olufson, and sister Meredith Dubuque. No funeral services are planned at Ted's request.
