Tim N. Amundson

Tim N. Amundson, 61, passed away at his home on Tuesday, July 21.

Tim Norman Amundson was born January 14, 1965, to Tom and Dorothy (Dunlop) Amundson minutes before his twin brother, Todd. He grew up on the family farm at Inkster, ND and graduated from Midway High School in 1983. He worked for Jonk Farms after high school, then worked for Grabanski Farms and most recently worked for the Forest River Elevator.

He loved watching the Minnesota Vikings. All winter he would be seen wearing a Vikings cap or a Vikings jersey. He made friends wherever he went, to say he was social was an understatement. He really loved people and would strike up a conversation with anyone who would listen,

Left to mourn his passing are sisters: Tara (Terry) Nelson, of Grand Forks, ND, Tami (Tom) Noel of Moorhead, MN, and his twin brother, Todd of Inkster, ND; nieces, Heather Horswill, and Stephanie Malone; nephews, David Nelson and Casey Skavlem; great niece, Charlie Horswill and great nephews: Hunter Horswill, Nash Nelson, Cameron, Walker Malone and numerous cousins. He also leaves behind his beloved dog, Elsa.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Dorothy Amundson; grandparents, Henry and Sara (Bannerman) Amundson and Norman and Ruth (Russell) Dunlop, and niece, Karlie Skavlem.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 28, from 5:00 – 6:30 at Amundson Funeral Home with a prayer service at 6:30. On Wednesday, July 29, a Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm with a visitation at 12:00 noon. The family would love to see Vikings jerseys and caps worn to honor Tim’s memory.
