Randall Torgerson

June 6, 1963 — January 15, 2018

Randall W “Randy” Torgerson, 54, Grand Forks, died unexpectedly on Monday, January 15, 2018 at home.  Randall Wayne Torgerson, the son of Truman and Janet (Kvasager) Torgerson was born in Grand Forks, ND on June 6, 1963. He was a graduate of Grand Forks Central High School and attended UND where he studied engineering. Randy married Janelle Bruski on June 16, 1984. For the past 6 years he worked at UND in Facilities Management as well as owning and operating Randy Torgerson Remodeling for more than 20 years. Randy married Carol Nolte on May 27, 2011 in Grand Forks, where they currently resided. Randy loved cheering for the Minnesota Vikings, Minnesota Twins, and UND Hockey. His greatest joy came from playing with his grandkids and watching them play hockey. Randy is survived by his mother, Janet Torgerson, Grand Forks; his wife, Carol, Grand Forks; Children: Amy (Shaun) Puppe, Bemidji, MN,  Melissa (Matt) Bakke, Grand Forks,  Matthew Torgerson, Eden Prairie, MN, Darren Torgerson, Eagan, MN, and Heather (Nick) Torgerson, Grand Forks;  Step-children: Katie (Joel) Nolte, Fargo,  Derek (Jenny) Nolte, Grand Forks, and Chelsey (Ryan) Bohn, Grand Forks.  Grandchildren: Brayden Puppe, Payton Bakke, Olivia Nolte, Parker and Ayden Nolte, and Nora Bohn.  Brothers Terry (Darlene) Torgerson, LaCrosse,  WI; Dean Torgerson, Grand Forks; Joel (Tammy) Torgerson, Fargo;  5 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Truman.  Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. Prayer Service Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Calvary Lutheran Church, 1405  S. 9th St., Grand Forks.  Memorial Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 21, 2018 also at Calvary Lutheran Church.
