Myrtle Anderson

  Myrtle “Myrt” Elizabeth Anderson passed away peacefully on September 12th at home in Grand Forks, ND. She was surrounded by her loving family and friends. Myrtle was born December 18, 1958 to Wayne and Shirley (Anderson) Lockner, in Cooperstown, ND. Myrtle was blessed with three children; Nevada Lynn Dahl, Brandon Douglas Wayne Dahl, and Megan Lynn Anderson. On June 25, 1990, Myrtle was united in marriage to the love of her life, Michael Anderson. Nothing was more important to Myrtle than her family, friends, and pets. Myrtle worked for the Grand Forks Blue Line Club Gaming for 30 years. She was a Site Manager at Southgate and then at TJ's Sports Bar in 2014. Through those years Myrtle guided many dealers who looked up to her and considered her a work mom. She will be missed by many customers and coworkers. Myrtle loved playing bingo and other games of chance with her friends. She also loved to spend time with family and friends during the holidays. She especially loved to get dressed up for the Polish parties and Halloween. Myrtle had an incredible liking for frogs. Myrtle is survived by her husband of 27 years, Michael; children, Brandon (Andrea) Dahl and Megan Anderson; grandson, Reese Dahl; sisters, Sandra, Sherrill and Lillie; brothers, Greg and Jon; her special niece, Tammy Ose Needham, Asheboro, NC, and many more nieces and nephews and extended family. Myrtle was preceded in death by her mother and father; her daughter, Nevada Lynn; her sister, Louise; and her brother, Richard. There will be visitation on Friday, September 15, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a 7:00 PM prayer service at Amundson Funeral Home, Grand Forks. Visitation will continue on Saturday, September 16, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM followed by a 10:00 AM celebration of the life of Myrtle Anderson at Calvary Lutheran Church of Grand Forks.
